Scottie Wilbekin has been picked as The Associated Press Southeastern Conference player of the year, while Billy Donovan took the coaching award after No. 1 Florida completed a perfect run through the league.

The AP announced its honors Monday, one day after the No. 1 Gators defeated Kentucky 61-60 for the SEC tournament championship.

Florida (32-2) was rewarded with the top overall seed in the NCAAs and will face either Albany or Mount St. Mary's in the South Regional on Thursday.

Wilbekin, a senior guard, averaged 13 points and 3.8 assists a game. Donovan took his second consecutive SEC coach of the year award as Florida became the first team to go 18-0 in the league during the regular season.

Kentucky freshman Julius Randle was voted newcomer of the year.
