Jacksonville's man at the Super Bowl: Seahawks' Cable praises Bradley

Ryan O'Halloran's Blog

NEWARK, N.J. – Among the legion of supporters Jaguars coach Gus Bradley has on the Seattle Seahawks is assistant head coach-offensive line Tom Cable.

I asked Cable on Tuesday how Bradley managed to stay positive during an 0-8 start that included eight double-digit losses.

“That’s who he is,” Cable said. “He’s genuine. I love him. He’s a special person and a special football coach you don’t find very often. What you see is who he is. It’s real.

“He’s going to be very successful.”

Cable and Bradley were on the same Seattle staff for two years (2011-12). Cable was previously the head coach in Oakland.

After sat in the big chair, Cable was able to be a sounding board of sorts for Bradley, “just to remind him to be himself and stay the course through the hurdles and speed bumps. He has a great philosophy and he never got away from that.

“Down the road, as this thing goes forward, people will get to see how he sees it and what he believes in.”

" we are glad they gave

" we are glad they gave Denver Mincey " and " Terrance Knighton we just plan around, three men wide that is. We won't go between tackles much, a draw here or there, but we will stick with speed, direction, power running off both tackles, and an occassional 20+ toss"!

Truly, the Jaguars have only

Truly, the Jaguars have only one star on the team right now. Head Coach Gus Bradley! We are very fortunate that we landed him last year. As for head coaching hires for the last two years, I would say that the Jaguars have the top hire in that time span.

If he responded spontaneously

If he responded spontaneously with praise for Gus that means something.
