A Jacksonville man faces up to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to two of five counts of lewd or lascivious molestation of a minor.
John Michael Guidry, 51, pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of molestation of a child older than 12 but younger than 16, according to the State Attorney’s Office.
The victim, who is now 17, told authorities in August 2009 that she had been touched inappropriately numerous times beginning in May 2007.
One charge of molesting a child older than 12 and one of molesting a child younger than 12 were not prosecuted and one charge of molesting a child younger than 12 was dropped, according to court records.
Guidry is scheduled for sentencing May 19.
