MIAMI — The Athletics-Marlins game in Miami stopped play for 10-minutes Sunday to treat two fans hit in the face by foul balls.
A male spectator sitting along the right-field line was hit by a ball in the seventh inning Sunday. Moments later, a woman sitting in the first row was hit by a ball off the bat of Oakland's Nick Punto.
The man left under his own power. The woman was conscious when she was placed in a wheelchair on the field and taken along the warning track to an exit in the right-field corner. There was no immediate information regarding her condition.
