A 26-year-old Jacksonville man remains missing, but police have now ruled his case a homicide and arrested three men in what’s thought to be a drug deal gone bad.

Dwight Lamar Martin has been missing since Nov. 17. His abandoned rental car, a 2013 Chevy Cruze, was found in the 2100 block of Shepherd Street, said Assistant Chief Chris Butler.

Evidence in the car suggests he was beaten severely and his body dumped, Butler said. Police believe he knew his attackers.

Twins Jonathan Brent Nibbelink and Joshua Brian Nibbelink, both 33 of Arco Drive, and Gary Wade Shepersky, 18, were arrested Saturday on separate charges, Butler said. Further investigation and interviews led to the murder charges.
